Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Director, Cybersecurity Operations. This is a working management position that allocates approximately 20% of their time to IT management functions and 80% of their time to implementing, managing, and supporting the latest and cutting-edge Cybersecurity solutions. This position is responsible for managing the practice engineers, establishing, and prioritizing work assignments, and providing input into the strategic and tactical direction of the practice as well as the overall cybersecurity infrastructure with an emphasis on continuous improvement and security. The ideal candidate for this position comes from the Value-Added Reseller industry, has experience being the overall delivery engineer, and has expertise in solution delivery for multiple sets of diverse clients.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly meets with Calian customers to review reporting and discuss delivered cybersecurity managed services to ensure customer satisfaction, gather feedback, and understand areas of improvement
  • Works closely with VP, Managed Services and Customer Success to develop, test, and implement new cybersecurity managed services and then develop a support model and standard operating procedures, and train SOC staff to operationally support the solution(s) for customers.
  • Works with SOC staff to continuously develop and document incident response procedures in accordance with the ever-changing threat landscape
  • Maintains awareness of the latest threats and campaigns targeting organizations and brings this awareness and education to customers through updates or newsletters
  • Works with penetration and vulnerability scanning consultant to coordinate application and network-based penetration testing
  • Manage risks and security issues that could impact the confidentiality, integrity and/or availability of the business (both internally and externally) by assisting in documentation, tracking and creating solutions for mitigation
  • Identify, measure, control and minimize security risks to information systems across a broad range of disciplines including application, network and host security
  • Works directly with technical engineers and other practice managers as well as non-technical end users
  • Ability to manage multiple technical staff simultaneously while ensuring production goals are met
  • Ability to meet customer goals and objectives for respective projects within budget and on time
  • Works closely with the Account Executives, manufacturer partners and the customer to ensure a smooth transition from design to implementation to support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • 7-10 years of general IT experience, with a minimum of five years of Cybersecurity experience
  • Palo Alto PCNSE + hands-on production implementation and operations experience preferred
  • CCIE Security + hands-on production implementation and operations experience is preferred
  • Cisco Route/switch experience is preferred
  • CISSP is highly preferred
  • IBM QRadar, Okta, Tenable, and KnowBe4 experience or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience managing infrastructure or security projects or equivalent applications development experience that includes some infrastructure, vendor management, infrastructure and security project management
  • Proven track record of implementing next-generation cybersecurity solutions within an enterprise
  • Able to interact confidently with C-level executives at customer sites.
  • Must be a team player with excellent communication skills at the business and technical level
  • Relentless focus in delighting customers, treating colleagues regardless of position with utmost respect
  • Must understand overall security framework and solutions offered by top security vendors such as Palo Alto, Cisco, and Cylance
  • Strong expertise around Cisco security solutions such as Firepower/FTD, Umbrella, AMP, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Strong expertise around Palo Alto Security Solutions such as PAN NGFW and TRAPs Advanced Endpoint solution.
  • Experience in a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environment preferred
  • Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
