Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

The Electrician will plan proposed installations from sketches or diagrams with general instructions issued by the department head. The role includes making up sketches, laying out, assembling, installing, and testing a wide variety of complex equipment such as automatic controls, power systems, switch gear, and welders. The Electrician will also test electric and electronic devices for performance, repair motors and other electrical equipment, and maintain electrical equipment necessary for the proper performance of light and power. Additional responsibilities include tracing and locating electrical circuits, making necessary repairs, forming and installing electrical conduit of all sizes, and occasionally making pull boxes and control panels. Familiarity with city and state electrical codes is essential, as is the ability to use all types of hand-held power tools. The Electrician will also occasionally move motors, transformers, and welders.

  • 5+ years industrial electrician experience

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Racine, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

The work environment is a sample shop where prototype units are made, encompassing industrial, commercial, and residential heating and cooling units. The role involves working with assembly equipment and fabrication equipment, primarily on the 1st shift from 6 am to 2 pm.
