Maintenance Engineer

An automotive re-manufacturer is currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their ever-growing team. The company has been supplying major OEMs for more than 4 decades. The business started off with a focus on front & rear-wheel drive manual transmission and growing into a centre of excellence for re-manufacturing. The business is TS16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified.
Your new role
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be expected to maintain and improve the efficiency, development and progress of the manufacturing process lines and facilities. Working closely with other technical professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of machine breakdowns and provide input to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes. You will be reporting to the Commercial Engineering Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Maintenance Engineer role, you will have excellent design and manufacturer skills like welding and general fabrication, able to manufacture parts on manual machine tools, ie Lathe, Vertical Mill etc. You will also have knowledge of engineering materials to allow selection of appropriate materials. You will also need to have the ability to read engineering drawings, knowledge of programming and using CNC Machines would be preferred.
What you'll get in return
Upon securing the Maintenance Engineer role, you'll be offered a salary of up to £37,000; dependingUpon your experience, in addition to your salary, you'll also receive a numberOf benefits.
