Project Manager (SC Cleared/Construction/Estates)
Methods are looking for an SC Cleared Project Manager to work on an initial 6 month engagement with a fantastic client of ours. The role will be completed with a hybrid way of working, with the successful candidate needing to be able to be on site in either the London or Milton Keynes based office when required. The role has been confirmed to fall Outside IR35.
This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed, or rejected. Details of this will be discussed with you at interview.

Role Overview
The individual will be responsible for the planning and delivery of customer projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to the agreed scope quality standards, across the organisation's wide range of Estates and Security services.
The Project Manager may also be required to assist with and lead the production of bids for new work opportunities.
Achieving Commercial Outcomes
Planning projects stages and milestones using GANTT charts and planning tools, defining objectives, preparing a wide range of project documents, initiating project exception plans and corrective action plans.
Day-to-day monitoring of project progress and prioritisation of resource usage, problem management, escalation and liaison with project team members.
Financial planning, regular forecasting and reporting and day-to-day management of the project cost ensuring the efficient utilisation of resources to deliver the project within the agreed budget and price whilst maintaining quality and the agreed business margin as laid down in the company's Services Business Process.
Following project change control standards, establishing effective change control and preparing impact assessments and project change registers Customer Focus
Representing the company's Services as the Project Manager at regular project governance meetings. Negotiation with the customer's representatives over project issues which may result in delay, change or cancellation of all or part of the project.
Presenting highlight reports to Project Boards and other project governance bodies, preparing checkpoint reports and holding regular checkpoint meetings.
Liaison with Key Stakeholders and customers ensuring appropriate levels of communication are maintained within the scope of the project.
Customer satisfaction as evidenced by customer feedback during the annual and pulse check customer satisfaction survey.
Processes (Efficiencies and Effectiveness)
Effective management of projects ensuring the delivery of the project within the Services business process model and Project Process Map to the agreed baseline from project initiation.
Ensuring that the project is delivered to agreed standards for quality and time using the appropriate management methodology.
Management of work-package allocation ensuring that our Services resources are used in an appropriate, effective and cost efficient manner.
Management of third party contracted suppliers for the delivery of overseas works using NEC4 or other suitable construction and estates contracts
The proactive management and mitigation of risks as evidenced through the regular business review meetings and minimum incidence impact costs.
Effective management and processing of monthly financial management routines
Tight control of project resources and finances as evidenced by reports from HERA, the Services central finance system, with high utilization rates for human resources and value for money usage of physical resources
Effective management of project H&S ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations.
Learning & Growth
Project team development and support for junior project management staff in the team.
Maintain personal development in specialist field.
Undertake any prescribed strategic in house training.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Technical Skills:
PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMP, ISEB Certificate or Equivalent Project Management qualifications.
Demonstrable significant experience of planning, monitoring and controlling projects using PRINCE2, APM or other PM related methodologies.
Extensive experience in planning and delivering medium complexity, multi-skilled construction projects with values ranging up to £5M.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including the latest versions of Microsoft Project.
Significant experience in the assessment, mitigation and management of project risk.
Significant experience in managing project budgets from a supplier perspective.
Demonstrable ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within tight timescales and with limited resources, in a number of varied and unique operational environments with numerous technical, political, security, support and logistical challenges.
Demonstrable ability of sound planning and control of a project and its dependencies
Experience of Project Health and Safety including CDM 2015 regulations and associated documentation from the supplier perspective.
Personal Skills:
A skilled and experienced Project manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple simultaneous projects within agreed timescales and budgets
A Customer centric approach with demonstrable ability to manage and influence customer's and key stakeholders expectations, negotiating changes where necessary.
Ability to deliver results ensuring compliance with the cpmpany's Services processes and that targets, standards and milestones as defined by the customer and Services are met.
Effective management of project finances, project risks and issues and project scope change.
Accept responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your own and your team's work.
Problem solving and judgment especially in the pressurised environment of a project.
Deal proactively with problems and acting appropriately and decisively to resolve them.
Identify critical issues, obtain support and get buy in for their management and provide a route for customer escalations
Desirable
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of global logistics processes, risks and issues
Accreditation in the Management of Risk (MoR) and its application in a project management environment.
Have project management accreditation/membership with APM.
Experience of using Microsoft Project On Line
Demonstrable ability and experience in the procurement and management of construction contracts (NEC3/4 or equivalent)
Personal Skills
Previous experience of working within Government organisations
Strong commercial business skills in a managed service environment
