Senior Data Modeller (Contract/Permanent)

One of our longest standing clients are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeller to join the businesses Enterprise Delivery Services, Core Technology & Innovation Department.

Requirements:

  • Analysis to establish data requirements in line with XML/XSD modelling, specifically FpML, for entities across multiple business areas across multiple geographical regions.
  • Logical Datamodelling.
  • Building, enhancing and maintaining the firms XML schemas for all financial data models (BDM entities) within the Business Domain Model to fulfil stakeholder requirements.
  • Active participation in the Business Domain Model project working group.
  • Identification of common data requirements and helping to drive shared data platforms.
  • All work is to be undertaken adhering to existing project and department standards for documentation, security, testing and release management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Proven track record of Datamodelling in a financial services environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of XML Schema, FpML, financial instruments, Reference data.
  • Exposure to JAXB desirable.
  • Excellent technical analysis and investigatory skills.
  • Good understanding of Transaction Lifecycles.
  • Exposure to Risk and Regulatory Frameworks.
  • Great organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to innovate, support change and problem solve.
  • Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance.

You will be expected to work from the Clients or Synechron's office 3 days a week.
