Field Service Engineer - South West (Permanent)

Location: Yeovil Country: UK Rate: £30k - £40k per annum

£30,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + excellent benefits!

A global manufacturer and distributor of medical process sterilisation equipment are seeking an experienced electro-mechanical service and repair engineer to cover customer sites in the South West of England.

As the field service engineer, you will be required to carry out service, repair and testing of infection control equipment specifically endoscope re-processors in the beginning.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Electrical wiring
  • Carry out mechanical servicing
  • Routing testing of equipment to relevant industry standards
  • Electrical/mechanical fault finding
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of spare parts
  • Provide validation reports
  • Maintain regular communication with the internal service department
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism with customers at all times

Key experience required:

  • Engineering background carrying out service and repair work on electro-mechanical equipment
  • Field based experience preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and able to find root cause is essential
  • Engineering qualification or relevant extensive experience

Package/benefits:

  • Basic salary - £30,000 - £40,000 - depending on industry experience
  • Company car - EV or hybrid
  • Discretionary annual bonus scheme
  • Overtime paid for any hours exceeding 45hrs per week - paid at x1.5 Mon-Fri, £28/Sat, £30/hr for Sunday.
