Milton Keynes - 2 days onsiite

The ideal candidate will work within the CIO Infrastructure, Operations and EUT areas, Disaster Recovery function, reporting to the Disaster Recovery Team Leader. The primary role is to deliver the company's Disaster Recovery planning, which includes the solution design and execution of the delivery and testing.

Responsbilities

  • Understanding the Risk principles and follow and promote the risk culture within your area of responsibility.
  • Identifying, assessing, managing and reporting risk using the appropriate Company procedures and channels.
  • Understanding complex IT environments to deliver clear and concise recovery concepts.
  • Demonstrating and presenting concepts and solutions to senior management and the business in clear and concise manner, that is free from technical jargon.
  • Managing recovery projects from concept to implementation.

Skills

  • An outstanding understanding of DR disciplines in a Business and IT environment (DR testing, setting up tests, running tests, documenting, building out test plans)
  • Proven ability to lead all sized teams, taking responsibility for the delivery of IT Continuity and DR projects and activities.
  • AWS and cloud experience.
  • Extensive experience of producing recovery plans and leading testing activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage a wide audience
  • Excellent planning and co-ordination skills with an ability to negotiate and influence technical and business personnel
  • Experience of Project management gained from working within projects and leading projects or work streams

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Strong technical background in Intel hardware
  • Strong technical background in Virtualization Platforms
  • Strong technical background in data centre infrastructure and configuration
  • Open systems expertise
