I am urgently looking for Contract Fault Management Quality Engineer to join one of the UK's leading Automotive manufacturers as a key link in supplier relationship between the supplier and end client.

This is for a long-term contract which allow you to join the New Product Quality team. Engage in critical areas of product development, including pre-production build events, material quality standard development, and the Faults Management Process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive quality faults reduction in new design.
  • Coordinate the Faults Management process, ensuring robust conversion of Quality Notifications (QN) to Quality Concern Reports (QCR).
  • Own project specific KPI reporting to ensure adherence to parameters at each project gateway.
  • Manage Faults Management meetings and process ownership.
  • Develop reporting metrics using PowerBi and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create project quality targets and oversee the Product Audit tracker for project delivery.
  • Support the delivery of the quality control plan for each project, ensuring holistic project planning and alignment across relevant quality functions.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Experience in New Product Development within the Automotive Industry.
  • Proficiency in 8D or Practical Problem Solving (PPS).
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and statistical analysis (SPC).
  • Familiarity with FMEA and Design for Manufacture.
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
