My client, a leading multinational defence company, are currently seeking a senior engineer/systems engineer to join the business in a permanent capacity. The role is based out of my client's secure site in New Malden. - with the requirement to attend site 2-3 days a week.

Due to the nature of my clients work, candidates must either hold a live SC Clearance or be willing and able to undergo the clearance process.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Provide SME level advice and consultancy on solution design, critical problem areas, training and related areas
• Design, build, configuration and test of Infrastructure/Systems
• Build for operations, implement/administer/configuration systems and hardware that are consistently stable, reliable and requirements.
• Learn the Production Integration Process and assume responsibilities for ensuring a smooth transition for relevant Systems from development to production.
• Working proactively to ensure problems do not occur through monitoring and optimising performance.
• Liaise with various other Systems teams to create appropriate knowledge

Advanced skills:

• Knowledge of server Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Unix etc)
• Knowledge of VMWARE and Virtualisation technologies (VMware Horizon, Citrix Xen Desktop)
• Knowledge of SAN and Storage Networks
• Knowledge of network technologies.
