Job Details

 

SQL Developer (Contract)
Location: Glasgow, Scotland Country: UK Rate: £300 - £365 per day
 

Gibbs Hybrid require an experienced SQL Developer with experience working with/for top UK financial services organisations. Please note, the role is based in Glasgow and two days per week onsite is mandatory. Our client will not negotiate on this.

Rate: Up to £365 per day
Location: Glasgow - 2 days per week
Duration: Initial 6 month contract with extensions likely

DB Developer:

* Minimum of 8 years' development and experience in MySQL/Oracle comprehending the existing SQL queries and writing medium to complex SQL queries.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in Unix and Shell Scripting.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in investment banking or the financial sector.
* Performance Tuning of Oracle/MySQL/Hive SQL Queries/Spark SQL Statements.
* Experience in working with large databases - multi terabytes (3+ Terabytes).
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Big Data Space (Hive, Impala, Spark Sql, HDFS etc).
* Any cloud experience (AWS/Azure/Google/Oracle).
* Solid experience with Oracle objects(Packages,Procedure,functions)
* Very clear concepts on Oracle architecture.
* Very strong debugging skills.
* Proficient in query tuning.
* Detail oriented
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a virtual team, across boundaries
* Ability to multi-task/self-sufficient
