Head of Product - GDS (Contract)
Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in London Country: UK Rate: Negotiable
We are working with a leading consultancy that require a Head of Product to join them on a major project in London.
As a Head of Product you will play a strategic role as a trusted consultant across all stages of the product life cycle for our clients, from understanding business strategy and brand, customer needs and market context, formulating outcome-oriented hypotheses and concepts, using research and prototypes, validation and measurement, roadmap delivery and programme management.
You will be responsible for the activities and success of a team of Product Managers, ensuring they are set for success, guiding and mentoring, and delivering value for our clients.
You will be expected to maintain a keen interest in latest industry developments, supporting work to promote Cognizant, providing thought leadership, and supporting conversations with prospective clients.
You will have:
- at least 10 years of experience of digital product management
- Experience of working within the public sector and a strong understanding of its particular challenges and standards
- Demonstrable experience of delivering major digital transformation
You can:
- coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices, determining the right approach for the team to take and evaluating this through the life of a project
- think of new and innovative ways of working to achieve the right outcomes
- act as a recognised expert and advocate for the approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team
You can:
- understand the marketplace
- realise the benefit of a product and persuade others that it's the right one to use
- integrate a product with other services
- ensure that products get used
- realise benefits by linking work in progress back to the business case
- build business cases based on user needs
