Tooling Designer (Permanent)
Location: München Country: Germany
iO associates have partnered with the company that is a leader in developing innovative technology for the transportation industry. They are known for their work in creating electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The goal of this company is to revolutionize the way people travel by providing efficient and sustainable transportation solutions.
As a Tooling Design Engineer, you will be responsible for Designing 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings; make technical decisions, create bills of materials, and assist in problem-solving during manufacturing.
Job Title: Tooling Design Engineer
Location: On-site Munich Germany
Duration: 6 months (Possible Extension)
Responsibilities:
- Design 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings for tools, jigs, fixtures, stations, and production equipment.
- Prepare design concepts for review and approval.
- Make technical decisions on design solutions.
- Create bills of materials (BOM) using standard and supplier part catalogues.
- Modify existing designs and document changes.
- Participate in project meetings and design reviews.
- Assist in problem-solving during manufacturing and testing, providing feedback and root cause analysis.
- Perform work-related administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of tooling design experience.
- Minimum 5 years of daily experience using Siemens NX® (NX12-NX2212) for modelling, assembly, and drafting.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and industry standards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, and processes.
- Strong IT/computer skills.
- Fluent in English.
