At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you'll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

The Social Platform Team enables GoDaddy customers to connect and authenticate their social media accounts, allowing them to perform a variety of marketing actions within GoDaddy tools. Managing over 1 million active social platform connections, our team supports features such as ad creation, content publishing, and social insights review.

As part of the Shared Services team, we focus on delivering seamless Front End experiences for connecting customer social platforms to GoDaddy products. Additionally, we own and maintain the API layers that handle authentication and facilitate marketing and content actions across social media platforms.

What you'll get to do

  • You will get to work on a variety of API's taking millions of requests per day.
  • You will help us manage our AWS Infrastructure to make sure our APIs are performing optimally and scaling appropriately.
  • Contribute to our Front End experience to help customers seamlessly connect their social accounts.
  • Be part of our On Call rotation to help squash bugs and unblock customers and consume teams so that they succeed with social.

Your experience should include...

  • 3+ years technology experience in a software engineering role and building large scale distributed applications or solutions.
  • Strong experience in Node.js, JavaScript and React.js.
  • Experience in crafting and implementing RESTful APIs and a good understanding of microservice architecture.
  • Ability to be On-Call when needed.

You may also have

  • Experience with Typescript and Mocha.
  • Cloud computing experience using publicly available services, AWS is an advantage.
  • Experience with relational and no-SQL databases. (ie. DynamoDB).
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree, with validated computer science fundamentals.
